Not sure why life is so crazy. I thought when the children can drive their own cars and are still going to school I'd have long boring days at home. I do get to slow down occasionally and snap pictures like these. These three help keep me young.
I should have helped him blow dandelions instead of just snapping pictures.
I certainly know when we are planning to go to China. The appliances start breaking down. No, we aren't adopting again. We did buy tickets the other day though and are working on itinerary for a heritage trip. I'm excited. I have a feeling this summer will fly!
The girls would like to do another egg roll fund-raiser. Thanks to my niece and some other friends we sold about 500 egg rolls the beginning of April.
I'm working on getting a stock of leather bags, wallets etc finished to sell. I need stock for an arts and crafts bazaar at the end of September, but I should sell some ahead of time.
Stay tuned for photos.
This guy lumbered across our yard one Saturday morning.
He spanned the lawn mower tracks. Look at his tail!
Faith decided that strawberries are better with yogurt and melted chocolate.
I usually get to finish up someone's cup and I agree they are tasty.
We probably won't have much of a garden this summer, DH got tired of fighting the growing conditions of our back yard. We will enjoy the flowers though.
I fell for the "save the vegetables" campaign. The idea of a mystery box of "imperfect" vegetables delivered to your front door was intriguing. Bottom line? I can probably do better at Green Dragon(local farmer's market) on a Friday morning ...or better yet at 9 PM and be able to chose exactly what my family will eat.
We did get to sample some new veggies and enjoyed some of them.
Since the bathroom is almost finished, why not rip up the living room floor too?
The 20+ year old carpet was just showing its age plus the house-training a puppy? ...well it was time for new stuff. We will go with wood-look laminate...and maybe get rid of the 80's sofa?
The bathroom floor is being shipped and should arrive on Tuesday...wonder when I'll get the leather bags stitched?
Speaking of new stuff!!! We cleaned the high school for the last time ...ever....maybe....unless Shekinah decides that she wants to go to school for high school. Faith is planning to homeschool for her last years of school. Some changes are hard, but this one is nice. We will have only one child in school next year. Life changes fast--4 years ago we had 5 in school.
We will have two Christmas programs to attend though, cause Parker will start Kindergarten!!!
This past week we attended and helped with the food for a funeral on Monday and on Saturday Hope and I helped with the food/meal for a wedding. I don't mind helping---being in charge would be stressful.
