A few people have asked about our accommodations. We are at the Beijing Century Towers (google it) it is just inside the East 3rd Ring Rd. Our agency asked that we at least be that close to the center of the city. We are in an apartment hotel. I think they do have single regular rooms, but what caught our eye was the 3 bedrooms, kitchen, living room and washer for under $100 per night. I don't know if that price is year round, but it was perfect for us. Now it is not 5 star...you have to be a little bit comfortable figuring things out on your own. Not everyone speaks English and we use a lot of sign language and the few words we know.
The hotel is not spanking clean, but not something I couldn't fix myself.
We came w/ some cleaning supplies...
The internet is extra as is breakfast...breakfast...20RMB per person and internet 30 RMB per day.
Today we are off to the Great Wall, unfortunately we seem to have chosen a cloudy rainy? day...well hopefully we don't get sunburned.
Keep praying for the rest of our trip, I hope GZ goes as well as the BJ part has.
