Mountain Pies

“Life is like a strange, unpopular restaurant, filled with odd waiters who bring you things you never asked for and don't always like”- supposedly by Lemony Snicket I think that is what Youngest Brother thinks sometimes... Tonite we took advantage of the beautiful, but short day and cooked over the fire. Our mountain pies have- store-bought bread, ground beef, spaghetti sauce and mozzarella cheese. When the pie is finished it is like a toasted sandwich. The dessert ones consist of store bought bread, 4 marshmallow halves, chocolate chips and peanut butter. Youngest Brother never had them...but managed to consume 4....three with meat and one with the sweet stuff...plus pomegranates and ice cream. The evening ended with us playing M*nopoly Deal....new for us....I won... the game is a bit confusing yet, so it is not a game for the younger ones to play by themselves....a decision that did not bring joy to some of them.... Ah well, I'm a mean mom, what can I say? I think everything got smoothed out, but things were a bit wrinkly around here for a bit.
